Shindo Distillery :
Shindo Distillery started operation in August 2021 in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Based on the concept of "THE QUEST FOR THE ORIGINAL" and the paths laid down by our predecessors, The "thorough creation of new makes using proprietary yeast," "aging in various types of barrels," and so on, We continue to face unique challenges.

SHINDO EXPERIMENTL 01 :
SHINDO EXPERIMENTAL 01, the first single malt Japanese whiskey from the Shindo Distillery. Experimental" means "experimental.
The most important value of Shindo Distillery is "THE QUEST FOR THE ORIGINAL".
As a challenger, we are constantly focusing on the quality of whisky,
and continue to relentlessly challenge ourselves to achieve the whisky quality we are aiming for. We want to make the best proposal we can now for the long road ahead.
With this in mind, Shindo Distillery begins its "road" with the "Experimental" series.

Composition:

All are non-peated.
The casks used were mainly bourbon barrels, but also Mizunara, Sherry (Oloroso), and a few other barrels were used for batting.

Tasting Notes:

The top is gorgeous, tropical and fruity. This is followed by an oriental, sweet buttercream-like aroma. The last part is toffee and milky with a long aftertaste.
