New! Mars Malt Le Papillon Nagaski Ageha
The “Mars Malt Le Papillon” series uses the motif of butterflies native to Japan to express the beauty of the natural environment of Japan, with its four distinct seasons that help to create the perfect environment for maturing whisky. The theme of this product, which is named after the large butterfly “Nagasaki Ageha” that was collected by Siebold in Nagasaki, is the image of a female butterfly with white wings, which can be seen in the Nansei Islands in Japan, drinking nectar from hibiscus flowers, and the cask was selected with this image in mind. This single cask single malt whisky is a gem that was distilled at the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in 2019 and aged in a sherry cask at the Yakushima Aging Cellar, then bottled at natural cask strength and without chill filtration.
