Akkeshi Single Malt Japanese Whisky Shunbun（春分)

This is the 22th edition of Akkeshi’s “Solar Term Series”. 

As cherry blossoms begin to bud, heralding the dawn of a new season.
This final installment in the Twenty-Four Solar Terms series is a single malt crafted with an abundance of Hokkaido-grown malted barley.
It captures the terroir of Akkeshi in its aroma and flavor, resulting in a whisky that embodies the essence of Akkeshi more than ever.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma:
The soft scent of sakura mochi, white peach compote, the refreshing crispness of lemon soda, marmalade toast,
brown sugar castella, ripe oranges, and hassaku citrus

Taste:
Orange sorbet, lemon icing cookies, ramune jelly, and the refreshing sensation of strongly carbonated water with ginger syrup

Finish:
The slight bitterness of lemon and lime peel, high-cocoa dark chocolate, and finally, the gentle sweetness of Wasanbon sugar
